December at ARCOTEL Allegra

During the cold weeks in December we have prepared a great offer just for you. Our offer of the month called "Christmas Time @ Joe's Bar" includes a large selection of hot drinks such as mulled wine, punch and natural teas. Just like the previous months, in December we prepared the recipe of the month, which you can use to prepare your own food. Get all the necessary ingredients, follow the instructions and your delicious meal will soon be complete. But if you still do not have the time and will to cook, you still have the option to enjoy the "Pork Fillet with Sautéed Oyster Mushrooms" in the cozy atmosphere of Restaurant Radicchio during December.

Ingredients for 4 people:

1kg pork fillet

1kg oyster mushrooms

100 g cherry tomatoes

salt

pepper

onion

bay leaves

1 clove of garlic

olive oil

Preparation:

Cut the pork fillet into even slices; season it with salt and pepper. Dice the onion into small cubes. Pour some olive oil in the pan, let it heat up and add the onion. Fry it slowly, add mushrooms and cherry tomatoes, a little bit of garlic, bay leaf and season it at the end. Gently fry the pork fillet in a pan. Serve everything on a serving plate. Have fun cooking and bon appétit!

ARCOTEL Allegra and Christmas magic

The last week of the 11th month is reserved for the most beautiful and the most interesting part of the work in our hotel. The ARCOTEL Allegra team decorated the interior of the restaurant, bar and hotel lobby today in the spirit of the upcoming Christmas holidays. The decorating did not last long thanks to the songs in our Joe's bar. Christmas decorations and red color will be dominating our hotel space and making every one of our guests happy from today until New Year's Eve 2014.

Mrs. Jelisaveta Seka Sablić, a very well known and famous actress who is especially dear to every member of our staff, came into our hotel just as we finished with decorating the space and she was very thrilled and amazed by the warm welcome. From 22nd of November until 24th of December 2013 Linz converts into a sparkling Advent-city. The highlight of the "Christkindlmarkt" at "Hauptplatz" is the over 20 meters high Christmas tree, which is donated every year from a different community. The "Volksgarten" fascinates true to the motto "fairy-tale Christmas" young and old with a magical setting. The "Botanische Garten" also lures with winter highlights like the exhibition "incense, cinnamon and vanilla fragrance"

The LENTOS Kunstmuseum Linz, which opened in 2003, is considered one of the most important museums of modern and contemporary art in Austria.

Also in the wintertime Linz offers a variety of theatre- and music performances – for everyone the right thing. Enjoy an opera or musical in the "Landes-" or music theatre or visit one of the many music performances in the Linzer churches, like the "Musica Scara".

A wander through Hamburg's Christmas markets

November is drawing to a close, the days are becoming shorter again, and slowly but surely everyone is getting into a festive mood. Of course, this time of year we cannot miss out on the Christmas markets, and there are plenty in Hamburg to choose from. Gift ideas with a difference can be found well on into the night in Hamburg's most frivolous Christmas market – Santa Pauli – on the Reeperbahn. If you're looking for something a little quieter and cosier then you're best to visit the traditional Christmas markets, such as the one on the Rathausmarkt with its arts, crafts and carvings. One particular highlight here is Father Christmas, who hovers above the Christmas market with his sledge every day at 4.00pm, 6.00pm and 8.00pm.
