Starting signal for „We are running for AGAPEDIA 2010“
An initiative of the BWPOST, the ARCOTEL Camino as well as the TV Nellingen Handball Bundesliga GmbH
Wednesday, 3rd of March 2010 the promotion “We are running for AGAPEDIA 2010” was presented for the first time.
The initiated companies appeared in public on the 06th of March 2010 at the top game of the 2nd Handball Federation League South of the women in Ostfildern-Nellingen. The Nellinger Hornets handballers are going to start the 17nd of the “Stuttgarter Zeitungslauf” by the theme “We are running for AGAPEDIA” on Sunday, the 20th of June 2010.
Stefan Wiech, the CEO of the TV Nellingen Handball Bundesliga GmbH introduced this Charity Event during a press conference in the ARCOTEL Camino Stuttgart:” The distance of the halfmarathon will be 21,0975 kilometres.
"companoes, fan, viewer, friend – everybody is allowed to buy one meter or more. The price of one meter is 10 cent and is to 100% for the foundation of AGAPEDI.
As total aim all involved parties are aiming a donation of 10.549 Euro. That means that every meter has to be sold. This is a proud effort that we are planning. If somebody likes to buy 100 meter, he has to pay 10 euros.”

WIMBERGERs wia z'Haus
....and Sunday Jazz Brunch
The restaurant at ARCOTEL Wimberger goes back to its roots as a place full of history and welcomes its guests at the WIMBERGERs wia z'Haus. The legendary Jazz Brunch will be continued as usual.
The established team around executive chef Peter Lerner turned the menu at the restaurant at ARCOTEL Wimberger almost completely inside out. Since autumn of last year the menu has been dominated by traditional Viennese fried breaded chicken with potato salad or Fiaker goulash with fried sausages. And of course, such sweet delights as homemade curd cheese dumplings.
Sunday is brunch day
Sunday is the day of the traditional WIMBERGERs Jazz Brunch. Guests can indulge in a sumptuous buffet brunch and enjoy live entertainment with music stars presenting their jazz, blues, soul or swing melodies. Brunch time is Sundays from 12.00 to 3 p.m. (except July and August).

On the occasion of its fifth anniversary and the twentieth anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall, the ARCOTEL Velvet Berlin staged an exclusive discussion event.
"The fall of the Berlin Wall was initiated by the East. It was a true people´s decision - an impressive demonstration of grassroots democracy", the former Foreign Minister of the Federal Republic of Germany, Hans Dietrich Genscher, wrote in the German newspaper Berliner Tagesspiegel, commenting on the collapse of the Berlin Wall.
2009 was a year of commemoration in Germany. ARCOTEL also joined in the experience, commemorating, of course, the fall of the Berlin Wall in November 1989, but also the fact that five years ago the opening of the ARCOTEL Velvet Berlin marked the start of the ARCOTEL group`s successful track record in Germany. Two anniversaries creating two occassions for a very special event: Under the motto "ARCOTEL TALKS", the ARCOTEL Velvet Berlin invited five Berlin Wall artists and five journalists to participate in a roundtable discussion on the past and present of Berlin Wall.

ARCOTEL as partner of culture and glamour at the Cultural Brand gala at the Berlin Admiralspalast theatre where creative talent and decision - makers from the industry met up.
On 29th November 2009 it was time again for this year`s marketing awards ceremony hosted by the Berlin agency Causales in cooperation with Deutsche Post DHL and the "Zeit" publishing house. The glamorous gala night with 1,500 guests from the fields of culture, business, politics and media was held at the legendary Admiralspalast theatre. In addition to the award ceremony the evening provided a programme full of culture and a glamorous after-award party.
